Priorities for a stronger Lincoln City
As your City Councilor, I will focus on the issues that affect our community every day — taking care of what we have, using taxpayer dollars responsibly, supporting our local economy, and making sure residents have a voice in the decisions that affect Lincoln City.

Supporting local businesses
I am dedicated to supporting local businesses, encouraging responsible tourism, and strengthening Lincoln City’s year-round economy.
Lincoln City depends on tourism, but our local economy needs to work for the people who live and work here throughout the entire year. Supporting locally owned businesses and creating opportunities for them to grow helps keep jobs and dollars within our community.
The goal is balance — welcoming visitors who support our economy while protecting the quality of life of our residents. A strong Lincoln City means thriving local businesses, good jobs, responsible growth, and a local economy that can sustain our community year-round.

Ensuring fiscal responsibility
I believe the city should prioritize needs, use existing resources wisely, and fully evaluate its assets before asking taxpayers for more.
Fiscal responsibility means looking at the whole picture — what the city owns, what it spends, what it truly needs, and what resources are already available. Taxpayer dollars should be focused on essential services, infrastructure, and the priorities that provide the greatest benefit to the community.
Before taking on additional debt or asking residents to pay more, I believe the city should first look at its existing property, resources, and spending to determine what can be better utilized, reduced, or redirected.
Lincoln City residents work hard for their money. I believe City government has a responsibility to show that it is doing everything it can with the resources it already has before asking the people for more.

Investing in infrastructure
A key priority is maintaining our streets, water, sewer, parks, and other essential city infrastructure before problems become more expensive. I believe we need to fix what needs fixing and take care of what we already have.
These are the basics people rely on every day, and keeping them maintained should be a priority for Lincoln City. That means planning ahead, addressing problems before they become larger and more costly, and making sure taxpayer dollars are being used responsibly.
The proposed bond is also a reminder of what can happen when major maintenance and infrastructure needs build up over time. When needed repairs are deferred, the problems don’t go away — they can become more expensive and eventually leave taxpayers facing much larger costs.
I believe we need to do a better job of maintaining what we have today, so we aren’t asking taxpayers to solve years of accumulated problems tomorrow.

Promoting transparent government
I believe Lincoln City residents should be able to understand how decisions are being made, where taxpayer dollars are going, and how those decisions affect their community.
Transparent government means open decision-making, accessible public information, and accountability to the people the city serves. Information should not only be available — it should be clear and easy for residents to find and understand.
I believe residents should have the opportunity to ask questions, provide input, and know their concerns are being heard before important decisions are made.
Local government works best when people are informed, involved, and confident that decisions are being made openly and with the best interests of the community in mind.
